Ok not lazy, but sorta busy between photography school (through the mail), making a scarf for my whore, and work, I just don't have much time. I had the idea to do this shot b/c to many people the 'end of the road' is death. My model wasn't comfortable wearing the cape in a cemetary so I only got a few shots before she quit. Luckily one came out good enough to use. :)

I think that the other ppl who were submitting have fallen to the wayside, probably due to our recent absence. lol. Oh well, with luck they'll come back. Well, well. We're back again. heh. Womanofscorn had her own camera issues come up and for a short while was out of commission while Ms. Canon A95 was shipped to Illinois and repaired. But it's back! And in action once again.

Water in motion shots are now posted. I like how different they all were. It's neat to see how people perceive the challenges and then go out and snap shots. I'm learning new ideas on how to see things every time someone sends one in. :)

For this week, the new challenge is from Womanofscorn. However she's too lazy to log in and blog it so I'm gonna do it for her. Her request????

I wish the shot had been taken without the tree in the way, but unfortunately it wasn't possible. In a way at the time I was glad it was there, because it showed the viewers that the picture was actually in focus and that the 'water blur' was caused by the slow shutter speed. But oh well, I still love the way the water looks. :) There's always next time!

Ok people, we realize that things have not been progressing as they should this past month. There are no excuses, life is life and shit happens. We are going to jump back into our photo challenges, hopefully with a newfound gusto.... we shall see!

Well both of us really. We've let this site fall back into the recesses of our minds, but that's summer. Lots of stuff to do, so little time to do it.

I know the latest challenge pics haven't been posted, nor has a new challenge been issued. I'm going to try and do it here in a little bit, however, a new challenge will not be issued. My whore in crime is on vacation for a week, so we'll have to wait until she comes back for her to post her new challenge. Unless she calls and tells me something.

Or she gets eaten by a bear. Whichever comes first.

Anyway, keep hope alive.

Camera Types

I had someone email and ask what types of cameras were being used, so I thought I'd drop in for a moment and answer that.

Firstly, both Womanofscorn and I have the same type of digital camera; a Canon A95 Powershot. I have some add-on lenses but haven't gotten to use them yet, but when I do (if I post any of those pics) I'll let you know. It's a great camera for a not-too farout price, so I'd suggest it to anyone.

Secondly, I know what type of camera Bonnie (aka zephyrbird) uses so I can post that here too. She has a Sony Mavica FD-88, so anytime you see entries by her it's usually from that camera.

As for anyone else, I have no clue but hope that they'll drop that info in the next submission and we'll pass it along. So there... question answered! :)

Another shot where I was just messing around and ended up with something I liked. I actually like how dark it come out. Sort of makes it look more 'mysterious'. The first thing it looked like to me was something you'd see in some sci-fi space movie. I got a few other shots that I love from this experimental session. Maybe we'll see them later. :)

One of my few flowers that is actually living.... a honeysuckle bush that we planted about 7 years ago. It's so pretty!!! I love the way the drops gather in the middle of the leaf and forms nice perfect round drops. A very good hummingbird attractor as well!
